About Mississippi Children's Advocacy Center
The Mississippi Children’s Advocacy Center, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located in Pearl, was the first CAC established in Mississippi. Since 1990, the center has provided direct services to the child victims of abuse, serving primarily the children of central Mississippi. MCAC is fully accredited by the National Children’s Alliance.
MCAC provides evaluations, court testimony, victim support and referral services to children in central Mississippi. These services are provided at no cost to the state or families of the victims. Each employee at MCAC strives for excellence in providing the necessary care and professionalism to all families, law enforcement, DHS and anyone associated with the prevention and maltreatment of children.
MCAC offers compassionate support to the non-offending caregiver of child victims. All staff members employ a research-based protocol, taught at the nationally recognized training Finding Words. In addition to providing various services for each child, the clinical assessments of the children enables appropriate referrals to mental health and medical services.
